The Philosophy

Grey is a color as a mixture between black and white. A monolith is a single standing stone. This mark is the intersection: something whole that emerges gradually, fades honestly, and knows where it ends.

The Three Variants
Monolith Grey lockup, Gold variant
Gold
For dark surfaces — the website, dark decks.
Monolith Grey lockup, Espresso variant
Espresso
For light surfaces — docs, invoices, business cards.
Monolith Grey lockup, Cream variant
Cream
For very-dark surfaces — video, black slides.
Usage Rules
Clear space
Reserve at minimum the width of the monogram bar on all four sides of the lockup. Give the mark air.
Minimum size
Standard variant to 500px width. Below that, use the compact SVG source so the bar retains presence.
Color pairing
Gold on dark. Espresso on light. Cream on very dark. Don't invert or recolor.
The fade stays
Never modify the vertical gradient. The bar emerging from black and fading into transparency is the idea.
